We sell our chevre directly to cheese lovers at the Dane County Farmer's Market in Madison, Wisconsin on Saturday mornings. Please stop by our booth on Carroll Street, near the corner of Main Street. We'd be happy to talk to you about our products and share a taste of our fine chevre.
You can also buy our delicious cheeses at fromagination.com in Madison. They will mail order, too, if you are out of town.
We follow the goats' natural seasons -- they have their babies in the spring, as do deer. The last two months of their pregancies -- in January and February and part of March, the goats need all of their energy for growing kids so they don't produce much milk. While the goats rest and gestate, we relax, go to movies, read books and have some time off too. Kidding begins in March and extends through April. Because kidding is so busy and hectic, we don't usually produce cheese until late April or early May.
While the Farmer's Market allows us to mingle with customers and get to know those of you who enjoy our products, we can also accept limited web orders. Since we hand craft each batch of cheese and milk a very small number of goats, Fantome Farm's production level is limited. Feel free to drop us an email to see if we are shipping orders or give us a call at (608) 924-1266.
